Western Balkans as liminal space

The Western Balkans are clearly part of Europe geographically (central area the Balkan Peninsula) but not considered entirely European. In fact, it is seen as a frontier within borders Europe, generally periphery in international order. Given European Union's ongoing central role wider economic and political relations, bloc often lacking necessary connections. However, old new powers, regroupings, crises, world pandemics all major recent events mark out Balkans' interconnections active participation politics. This paper focuses on Balkans, with particular attention to Serbia case study. global relevance region will be represented through 'Balkan-type' power constellation. URL: https://vsas.fvs.upjs.sk/
